ICYAA – ISS/OSS
Effective 12/4/06, the ICYAA will begin an agreement with the Iredell-Statesville School System.
Any student who receives ISS (in school suspension) or OSS (out of school suspension) will not be
allowed to participate in their next game. They must still dress out and attend the game but will not
be allowed to play. If the suspension does not permit the child to be on school premises, they will not
be allowed to attend the game.
The ISS will contact the ICYAA and will advise of any child who receives disciplinary action. No other
information will be supplied. Once the ICYAA is notified, we will contact the schools director or
coach. Once the ICYAA is notified, the game suspension will be in effect for the following scheduled
game. This will carry over between sport seasons.
This policy is not designed to further punish the student, but more as a motivating tool to help guide
them to make proper choices.
